Why float rooms outperform
traditional floatation pods.

Float rooms create a more spacious, more welcoming experience — without compromising sensory depth. Whether you’re adding to your pods, upgrading from pods or starting fresh, our commercial float rooms help elevate comfort, expand access, and build long-term brand strength.

No lid.
Less stress.

With no lid to close (just a door that opens with a soft touch) and generous interior dimensions, our float rooms offer a calm, peaceful environment that puts clients at ease from the moment they enter. It’s float therapy for those who value space, atmosphere, and a sense of control.

Accessible design.
Broader reach.

Float rooms are built for effortless entry — no climbing in, no hatches, just a perfectly balanced door. That makes them ideal float therapy rooms for older adults, pregnant clients, and anyone with reduced mobility. More people can float comfortably, more often.

Modern aesthetic.
Stronger brand appeal.

With clean lines, warm lighting, and a refined interior finish, floatation rooms make a lasting impression. They're easy to market, photograph beautifully, and align with the visual standards of today’s wellness consumers.

Commercial build.
Long-term value.

These are commercial float rooms, designed for busy float centres and wellness spaces. From premium materials to long-term support, every detail is built for consistency, durability, and performance — giving you peace of mind and a clearer return on investment.

Specify your
float room

Working closely with you, every Ocean Float Room is thoughtfully designed to your specification. From how the room fits into your building, to how it looks, feels, and performs day after day, each decision is made to support your space, your brand, and your clients.

Designed to work with your space

Flexible layouts

Ocean Float Rooms are designed to integrate into real-world buildings. Once you’ve chosen a Single or Double Float Room, each room can be configured in multiple ways. This includes door position, door opening direction, and filtration system location, to suit your available space, access routes, and plant requirements.

This architectural flexibility allows float rooms to fit naturally into a wide range of environments, from purpose-built wellness spaces to more constrained retrofit sites, without sacrificing accessibility, comfort, or performance.

Exterior design for your space

Exterior finishes

Ocean Float Rooms can be dressed in a range of professionally engineered exterior finishes, selected with you during manufacture to complement your interior design and brand aesthetic.

As standard, rooms are finished in a full range of decorative waterproof panels, client driven fully tiled finishes, or upgrade options such as plain or printed hardened glass. Thoughtful finish selection helps your float room integrate naturally into your space and design style.

Shape the atmosphere

Sensory experience

Soft ‘night sky’ starlit ceilings can be integrated to create a calm, reassuring atmosphere inside the float room. The tranquility of a starry sky helps ease clients into the experience, particularly first-time or anxious floaters, without distracting from deep relaxation. The stars can shine for as long or as little as the client desires.

A float compatible, two-way intercom enables clear communication between staff and floaters when desired. This supports client reassurance, client questions, professional therapeutic sessions, and safety checks, while otherwise being a silent sentinel.

Exceptionally clean

Ultimate hygiene

Ocean Float Rooms are built with commercial-grade, multi-stage water hygiene systems designed to deliver exceptional clarity, consistency, and client confidence. Powerful yet quiet filtration works automatically between every session, maintaining clean, safe float water without disrupting the calm of the float experience.

Hygiene systems can be configured to suit regional regulations and customer preferences, ensuring every Ocean Float Room meets commercial standards, with enhanced options available where the highest demands for water purity must be met.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about our float rooms.

What is a Float Room?

A float (floatation) room is the modern evolution of the traditional floatation tank, also known as a sensory deprivation tank. Unlike float tanks and pods, which are often enclosed and compact, a float room is a spacious, walk-in environment that offers more comfort and accessibility.

With over 6′ 6″ (1.98 m) of internal headroom, users can stand upright inside—making the experience feel more like stepping into a private spa suite than entering a confined tank. This makes float rooms ideal for wellness centres seeking to offer a premium, inclusive float experience.

Can I visit a showroom to see a float room in person?

As we design, supply and install float rooms internationally, having a permanent showroom isn’t practical. However, we’re proud to have a global network of customers who are happy to share their experiences and answer questions about their float rooms.

To help you explore real-world installations, we’ve created a global float centre directory featuring some of our completed projects:

Do you manufacture double float tanks for couples or shared sessions?

Yes. We manufacture both single and double float rooms. Double float rooms — also called couple floatation rooms — comfortably accommodate two people and help centres expand their service offering or support therapeutic applications involving two participants.

What is the difference between a single float room and a double float room?

A single float room is designed for one client per session. A double float room (also called a double float tank or couple floatation room) is built for two. Both share the same walk-in design and accessibility benefits; the choice depends on whether your business model prioritises individual sessions or offering a shared float option that increases flexibility and client appeal.
